API Documentation

Get started with the uncensored chat completions API in minutes. Use standard OpenAI client libraries to send requests to our single, unfiltered model.

Authentication

Authenticate by passing your API key in the Authorization header. You receive one key per account, which you can generate immediately via Google or email on the Get API key page. The key grants full access to the chat endpoint.

Note: generating a new key invalidates the previous one. Keep your key secure, as it acts as your sole credential for billing and usage tracking.

Chat Completions

Send messages to the uncensored model using the standard POST /v1/chat/completions endpoint. The API expects a JSON payload with a model field set to "uncensored" and a messages array containing your conversation history.

Text goes in, raw text comes out. No content filters apply to lawful adult content, fiction, or security research.

  • Base URL: https://api.chatgptunzensiert.com/v1
  • Model ID: uncensored
curl https://api.chatgptunzensiert.com/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "uncensored",
    "messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Set the temperature to 0.7 and send hello world"}]
  }'

Python SDK

Use the official openai Python library to integrate quickly. Override the base URL to point to our servers. This allows you to keep your existing code structure while switching to an unfiltered model.

The client handles serialization and streaming automatically. Set the model name explicitly to ensure you are calling the correct endpoint.

Tip: You can pass max_tokens to control output length, with a default of 2,048 tokens if omitted.

from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(base_url="https://api.chatgptunzensiert.com/v1", api_key="YOUR_KEY")

resp = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="uncensored",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Summarise this thread without softening it."}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)

Node SDK

Integrate directly into your JavaScript or TypeScript applications using the Node.js OpenAI package. Configure the baseURL and apiKey before making your first request.

This approach works seamlessly with frameworks like Next.js or Express. The API returns standard JSON responses compatible with most modern web clients.

Remember that the API key is singular per account; generate a new one if you need to rotate credentials.

import OpenAI from "openai";

const client = new OpenAI({ baseURL: "https://api.chatgptunzensiert.com/v1", apiKey: process.env.API_KEY });

const resp = await client.chat.completions.create({
  model: "uncensored",
  messages: [{ role: "user", content: "Draft a villain monologue for my game." }],
});
console.log(resp.choices[0].message.content);

Streaming

Enable streaming by setting stream: true in your request. The API returns a Server-Sent Events (SSE) stream, delivering tokens as they are generated.

This reduces perceived latency significantly for long-form generation. The final chunk of the stream includes the complete token usage statistics for billing and monitoring.

Streaming is ideal for real-time chat interfaces where users expect immediate feedback.

stream = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="uncensored",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Tell the story in second person."}],
    stream=True,
)
for chunk in stream:
    if chunk.choices and chunk.choices[0].delta.content:
        print(chunk.choices[0].delta.content, end="", flush=True)

Limits and Errors

Your API key supports up to 300 requests per minute and 8 concurrent requests. The maximum request body size is 8 MB. Exceeding these limits triggers a 429 error.

If your prepaid credit is exhausted, the API returns a 402 error. An invalid key results in a 401 error. Errors and refusals do not consume tokens, so you are only charged for successful completions.

The context window is 100,000 tokens (prompt + completion combined).

FAQ

What is the context window size?

The model supports a 100,000 token context window, which includes both the input prompt and the output completion. If you exceed this limit, the API will return an error. The maximum output per request is 16,000 tokens, or 2,048 tokens if you do not specify a limit.

How does billing work for errors?

Errors do not consume your prepaid credit. If you receive a 429 rate limit error or a 402 insufficient funds error, no tokens are deducted. You are only charged for tokens in successful responses, including token usage reported in the final streaming chunk.

Can I use the same client code as OpenAI?

Yes. The API is fully OpenAI compatible. You only need to update the base URL to <code>https://api.chatgptunzensiert.com/v1</code> and set the model to <code>"uncensored"</code>. All standard parameters like <code>temperature</code>, <code>top_p</code>, and <code>stream</code> work identically.
